Christmas Countdown: Day 7

Feliz Navidad! Its one week to go til Christmas and instead of writing my to do/organiser on my Word notebook, I thought I would post it instead.  So here’s my counting down to Christmas organiser that you can follow, and together we can have a stress-free, well planned Christmas lunch.  In theory. 🙂

Day 7 – Friday 17th

  • Settle on your menu once and for all.  The time for indecision and procrastination is over.  After today, you should not be flipping through any more recipe books, magazines or websites.
  • Photocopy or print off the recipes you are planning to use and put them in one place.
  • If you haven’t already, order all your meat and seafood today – you don’t want to miss out.

This morning my son and I made these stained glass biscuits which are beautiful and so much fun for kids to help make. I used this basic recipe below, but I added orange zest to the biscuit dough, and used star shaped cutters. Also I found that the best way to smash up the boiled  lollies is in the pestle and mortar.
